What is difference between Fingerprint & Code 1?

Dear Friends;

I did Fingerprint in July 04, then I get Code 1 Bio notice ( new way of fingerprint) last Sat. ( Oct.22) As I was told Code 1 is new technology of BIO started this April. Fingerprint lasts only 12 month. Code1 Bio can last 15 months. But till now nobody has gone to 15 months with code 1 bio yet. Anybody who knows what is difference between these two? Many thanks

Fingerprint,Bio code1 samething.It's just vocabulary matter.Bio code1 replaced the word Fingerprint which doesn't exist any more.Your fingerprint taken back in Jul,2004 has expired and need to be retaken.That's why you got Bio code 1 which means fingerprint.

Then, I was called to do Code 1 Bio's meaning is not so important? only an requirement? no progress for my case, sir?
 
What you mean man?Everything is important in any immigration damn.If you don't do code 1 today,you will get code 3 instead of code 2.And if you won't go,your case will be out of track.

After I did medical, it is already 7 months passed, I was so happy to see that Code 1 Bio notice, then it turn out to be only an requirement. How long need I wait more?
 
I do not know but it seems fingerprint changes in 15 months in US and thats why it need to redone again..??
 
Cody2,just chill.You're almost done.The most important thing is RFI.After your code1,you willget code2,this is will be Index print,signature and photo for your GC.After this,you would be approved if you don't get RFE.Also,you might be approved before you get Bio 2.I mean,you can get approved any day soon or later since you've done with RFI.

Nothing is wrong.This depends on officer hanling your case.If you got nice officer,your case is speeded up.If you got a nasty one,it takes time.But any way,you will be approved from now to any day of the year.Stay positive.

Many thanks. I hope this will happen soon after I do Bio 1 on Nov.16 as appointment request. Once I get approval, I will inform you at once.
