Hi,

my PD is Dec\'99 and EB3 Category.
I applied for AOS here in US in July 2001.
but would like to know if Consular Based Processing is doing for these priority date range.

please post your PD infor for who ever got interview scheduled under EB3 category
thank you all

so how does the NVC determines

to whom it should process first.

I guess they go by PD.

if that is true, what is PD they are doing now.
incase fo everyone is current ,I guess they go by PD order.isn\'t it.

Currently PD dates are same for consular posts and US

However you may want to conside starting CP or not given a possibility of retrogression of priority dates in the near future ,it takes about 4 months at the very least to complete CP .There is no clear indication what happens if priority dates do retrogress for the folks who have CP-in progress.

This issue apart if there is no fraud involved CP is definitely the fastest way.

OK my question is

even it is current for everyone,NVC will process in certain order by date
what date NVC considers.
is it EB3 or RD or any other date to send the packet.

Finally , in other words If you are in employment based GC then right now you will be all set by NVC maximum 6 weeks. Does not matter what is your PD? They do not care about your PD at this time. As NVC will receive your case after that You will get case transfered to consulate with in 4-6 weeks. You are all done with NVC process.
Does not matter PD/EB1/EB2/EB3/EB4/RIR whatver.
Good Luck

regretting

I have filed about 5 months back for AOS here.

My documentation and all papers were perfect and chennai consulate gave me B1 visa once and H1B visa and Extention
should have got my CP done easily by this time

I hope lot of people might be getting their CP done by this time

I have a friend with same filing date & dilemma. While I don\'t know of good source for statistics, it seems April\'01 I485 filers are starting to get approvals and many Feb\'01 filers got approvals, so there is some good chance that you\'ll get yours approved in 3-5 months, though you can never be sure with AOS, and yours may be one of the few with no approval for longer period...
Anyway, since you belong to Chennai you must wait for I824 approval which in it self can easly take 3 months, so there is serious doubt this is going to pay off for you.
