What is bench tennis?

We normally call TableTennis where
a pingpong ball is used to play ON A TABLE

But there is one guy who is on the BENCH right now and playing pingpong with users of this Forum

Hey man .. do some thing useful....while you are on BENCH
Atleast go to Library and help them as a typist
