is there a special law for a person whose i-485 petition has past 6 months, what is that? please advice, thanks

see www.isn.org for the complete AC21

Yes. If you are on AOS and INS has not adjudicated anything in your case till 6 months from the receipt Date (or notice date depending on the service center) you can change jobs without attracting any rejection. The new job has to be similar in terms of responsibilities, title and salary in that order of importance.

ac21

ac21 is not from notice date
it is always 180 days from receipt date.
Yes, but if u change jobs before 180 days and ur case has not been adjudicated NSC/VSC/TSC considers this situation as okay
but CSC does not consider this okay and creates a problem

Please read Attorney murthy chat transcripts
www.murthy.com/chattran.html

or http://groups.yahoo.com/group/180days

this is a group on yahoo.com
which is for the 180 days AC21 law changers

There are more than 700 messages in this section
