What is a good Lawyer ?

Hi,

I meet 2 lawyers already for TN and H1B Visa. The first time we didn't anything so we believe pretty much everything he said. We found out after some internet research that he didn't know much about immigration laws. We found another lawyer that doesn't seems better.

I need to find a good one in the FortWorth/Dallas area. How can I tell if is good. Obviously, asking is not the right answer.

You need a lawyer that has dealt with your EXACT situation before (it is quite unlikely that you are unique).

So, to get a good recommendation, you need to tell us what you were trying to do.

No matter how good the lawyer, he will not be able to get you an H1 if you do not first win the lottery.

And no matter how bad the lawyer, he will not be able to prevent you from getting TN -- IF you and the job qualify for it.
