What if you don't travel imeediately after H1b stamping?

Hi folks,
This is for one my friend..

He has got a H1b stamped at chennai consulate recently.

He is wondering, how long can he stay there before coming here.. Though the client wants him to start imeediately, he has some family needs to stay back for couple of months..

Would that be ok to stay in India for some time after getting stamped?
Or is it going to be an issue at Port of entry?

Any experiences with this kind of situation is appreciated..

------------------No problem , he can reach Us in 2-3 months time

--------------- if you delay more than 4-5 months then at POE they MAY ask employer letter and he should have recent employer letter
