What if spouses became a citizen between filing N400 and one's own interview?

There is a question on N400 form about Spouse's citizenship. If the IO
repeat that question during the interview, should one mention that spouse
was naturalized after Filing 400?

And if the spouse only passed interview but has not taken teh oath yet
should one mention that too?

And does one need to provide documentation if there is such a change?

Not a must, but always prudent to carry spouse's naturalization certificate or passport, and if possible, have the spouse around on the day of your interview

I heard only applicants and legal representative with G28 form are allowed to go in. All others can not even enter the building but wait on outise parking lot.

I do not know about other DOs, but in Chicago, anyone from the street who can clear security can get inside the waiting hall of the USCIS. This I am telling from first hand experience. The security did not check the IL at all. There have been cases where friends went in with the interviewee to look after the interviewee's young child. The spouse need not actually accompany the husband into the interview, but can be around in case the IO has a strong desire to see your better half.

Yes.

NO. Having done with interview does NOT change anything in the status. She is still a GC holder until she takes the oath. So since there isn't any change in status, you don't have to update anything on the already submitted N400 app as far as her status is concerned.

If she has already taken oath, you can take her with you along with her naturalization certificate just in case and also an updated N400 form (just the page where you need updates) or the IO can update it for you.

If it's not a material factor in the applicant's application (ex: filing under 5 year rule) , the question becomes whether the IO would entertain the question of your spouse becoming a citizen since the applicant filed for naturalization.
