what if laid off after receiving EAD?

Hi,

I have got my EAD and Fingerprinting is done two months ago. What if being laid off now? What do I expect to do to get the GC?

All you got to do is Look for similat Jon

I understand the situation u r in I was in the same once .You are ok as far as status is concerned .

All you have to do is look for a similar nature of Job as mentioned in you LC .Looks like you filed your 485 in the last 6 months or so and I guess you have a long time to go before your I-485 will be approved do .

Keep your cool and find a Job before you get a RFE(may take a while for this too I guess) and be patient.

This as far I as I know hope it helps.....

Some further questions: Does everyone has to go through RFE(does RFE mean to be interviewed by an immigration officer)? What are the milestones that I will expect from now until I get the GC?

Nope you may not get RFE

As far as I know each case is procesed on its merits and demerits and RFE is issued as the case processes .

So you may or or may nor recieve the RFE its a tough call to make.

The mile stones from here could be like

1.Direct approval(If lucky)
2.Any kind of RFE (May or ,may not be related to Empoyment)
3.Transfer to local office (May or ,may not be)
4.or Interview with all you Documents

So its basically luck and how you go from here in terms new job etc
