If one loses his job while waiting for the I-485 approval, what will happen? My case is a employer sponsed EB-1. Thanks.

well, you have to find a new job which is similar to the one you applied for and as long as your 485 has been pending > 180 days (which most likely it should), then you can use AC21 to keep your 485 valid. See an earlier post by Celina and the answers in there.

Since, yours is an EB1 case, to my knowledge you're not bound to any employer. However, if you do lose your job try and find another one soon. Please check with your lawyer.
