What happens when I-140 not Approved.

Every one suggest that one should continue on H1B until I-140 and if possible I-485 is approved.

Say I take 7th year extension -- and in between I find that for some reason I-140 or I-485 is not approved.( That's rare as most guys say).

Now if that happens -- what are the options for me?

if I have to start the process all over again--- does the company again have to get the labor cleared?

The steps to be followed really depends on the reason of the denial.
