Hello Members, This forums is for DV lottery visas only. For other immigration related questions, please go to our forums home page, find the related forum and post it there.
Well, here are my four guesses:
1. Nothing will happen.
2. It depends on the post. In some countries, US embassies/consulates may be more forgiving than others depending on their perceived "risk" of immigration from that country.
3. A strict interpretation of law would require them to revoke nonimmigrant visas.
4. Another interpretation of law would be not to revoke the current visa (because technically people are not applying for a nonimmigrant visa, so why bother to adjudicate) but, next time they apply, reevaluate the "risk" under new conditions, and probably deny the new visa.
I guess it is best to find out the typical consulate behavior in one's particular country.
