What happens to my OPT if I file 485?

Hi,
My I140 was just approved. It was a self petition under NIW. I am in my final year of PhD and have applied for an OPT EAD which will probably be approved soon. My question is if I file 485, can I still use the OPT? I try to avoid using the 485 based EAD because I want to later get an H1 visa to be on the safe side. (I know people usually think 485 approval is very likely once 140 is approved, but I still would like to play it safe.)

Although likely you should get approved, but playing it safe with NIW is indeed a good idea
 
Personally, I do not have any experience in the OPT/485 overlap. If I were you, no matter who what tells you on the forum...I will still get the opinion of couple good lawyers before taking any chances
