what happens to approved 7th year H1b extension if underlying I-140 and I-485 on which 7th year H1b was approved gets denied. Do I get to keep my H1b or does h1b status gets invalidated.

This is my opinion and I am not a lawyer.

There has been a lot of discussion on this topic in this forum. I believe that your H1 7th year is valid even if your 140 and 485 gets denied. Try to search on this topic and you will find a recent thread that discusses this topic in detail. BTW, that thread also contans some heated arguments.
 
Nothing will happen to H1 and can be continue to use until it expires. LC pending or I-140/485 pending is required to qualify for extending the 7th H1, but it is not dependable on the status of I-140/485.

However, you can not extend H1 further if your I-140/485 denied.
