What happens in I-129F situations?

I am a us citizen and i just applied for I-130 for my husband. I sent it to texas service center but i got a receipt from california service center, does anyone kno why?

Furthermore, I intend to apply for I-129F, or K-3 vis for my husband; in Chicago. Does anyone have any idea what happens after that, and how long it takes before he can actually come?

I sent my documents to Nebraska but received the receipt from Missouri. From what I assume, the head offices operate smaller offices that concentrate on fewer states.

As far as for I129, if you are lucky it will take you 6 months and that it what lawyers usually tell you. It took me only 6-8 weeks to receive the notice for mine and in 8 more weeks interview was scheduled. This varies from case to case but make sure all of your documets are correct and accurate, this might speed it up. Good luck.
