What happens if one conceives after filing 485

And after the birth of child he/she would be US citizen by birth...no need to notify INS...Enjoy..now you have got better things to worry about then GC :)
 
Bangalore baba If you conceive it will make headline news :)

but jokes aside, a kid born here automatically gets US citizenship. If he/she is born abroad then you might have to do paperwork to get them here
 
Where is the child going to be born?

I dont think you need to tell the INS. If you plan to have the baby else where then that might be a problem. I dont think the INS will allow an unborn to be dependent. If you have a baby outside US and you get the green card, then it might take sometime (years) before you can bring him/her as a dependent. But I am not so sure.

I dont think the unborn qualifies as a person in the US. I think its probably that way after Roe Vs Wade.
 
If the kid is born in USA, he/ she is U.S. citizen. Get birth certificate, then U.S. passport.
