Hi,
I know this question has been asked several times, but I am not able to get the corresponding links to it.
My Question is what happens to the I-485 processing if a company is being sold or bought by another company. It is a simple matter of sending a letter to the INS ?

Short answer: If you are lucky, nothing.

The long answer: if you get called for an interview (or you get
an RFE), then you will have to get a letter from one of the
lawyer-types in your new company, stating more or less that all
the legal obligations of the original company were transferred
over to the new company. However: the vast majority of the
people don\'t get called for an interview, and just get the
approval notice (and the stamp at the specified office without
any hassles).

If you are worried, this would be the time to make a nice donation
to your favorite church/temple/synagogue/charity... ;-)
