What happens between FP and interview?

Hi all,

What exactly happens between the time they take your fingerprints and the time they send you your interview letter for citizenship?

Is there anyway we can get a status of the FP in between? For instance, FP accepted, FP cleared, etc?

If they mess up your FP (while taking it) how long after that are you notified that they need to retake your FP?

Thanks!

Everybody are talking about this subject in all the threads. There is a number for FBI which you can find here and call them and they will let you know about your FP status.

What exactly happens between FP and IL? It really depends on your lifestyle but if you want to know about USCIS, obviousley they are killing more times.

I had FP taken 17 December and was notified that FBI couldn't read my fingerprint card about 3 weeks later. New appointment 22 Jan. Christmas and New Year breaks probably lengthened the gap.

Hmmmm, what happens between FP and interview? People check their online status multiple times a day, anxiously check their mail for an envelope with the USCIS logo, and constantly check this forum to see if anyone from their DO received an IL. :D
