what happen to USCIS ? Are they sleeping ..no approvals yesterday 10/9/2007 and today !!! We supposedto see tons of approvals in Oct.
Looks like visa # are walking through DC and on the way to service centers.

They are all busy opening up envelops received in a mad rush of "free for all" July - August time:

Q : How is USCIS planning to address this receipting delay?

USCIS is realigning its resources to eliminate the receipt delay as quickly as possible. This effort includes increasing the number of contract employees, as well as requiring significant mandatory overtime and shift work. USCIS also has temporarily detailed Government staff to centers that have been affected the most by the large influx of cases.

Look at it this way: On the EB side, they have 140,000 visas to give out over the next 12 months and ~800,000 applicants.

They ain't gonna run out of applications like they did last 2 years, so time is their only concern, and they have plentty of it.

I just checked the Nebraska updated page for what cases they are working on... and whereas as of September 15, 2007, they were working on 485's filed up to December 21, 2006, now they have GONE BACK TO DECEMBER 19, 2006!!! WTF

What happened?!?!!? I thought this woudl be the month that they addressed my case (filed end of December). I'm so annoyed.
