What happen if apply 4 citizenship before time?

I have a question,if anyone knows exactly,please help.
i'm a residence since nov 4,when i count 90 days backward do i have to count the fouth on nov, or the third will be the 1st day?

thank you
Don't try to time it down to the exact day. USCIS is not consistent about how they count the days, and if you try to do it on the exact 90 days, your case might get rejected. Even if it's improperly rejected and you are in the right, it still costs you months of wasted time. Aim for 86 days so that a one or two day difference in their calculation won't hurt you.

thanks folks for your answer.
The problem is i've been told so many times i can apply 3 MONTH before my 5 years line. so I DID. AND (I know it's my fault) only after the form had been sent i found out it's 90 days ,not 3 month. my 5 years residency is nov 4. And I signed the form on august 7,which is exactly 90 days till my 5 years anniversary( I count up the forth too)Tsc got my form 3 days later. Now I'm stressed out because there are a lot of things depend on my naturalization.what is possible scenario of this situation? Am i ok with this 90 days? or my docs will be rejected and when it can happen-till interview or they can wait till the last moment ?have you ever heard the io on the interview will count the days ?
sorry guys for bothering but I really need to talk it out.
any comments are really greatful.

Hi anmn,

It's impossible to say what will happen with your case. In order to avoid the question of which days to count is why I recommend to count 85 days instead of 90, as it is not entirely clear how the 90 days are counted. My IO counted the days, I don't know how precisely, but did some finger counting when going over my application at the time of interview and gave me a smile when she verified the number of days was within the limit.

Some applications get rejected at data entry time, that would be your best situation if your application is indeed going to be rejected as chances are the check won't be cashed. However, some applications get rejected at interview time. This is the worst possible outcome (again, that's why I personally prefer a 85 day rule to have plenty of peace of mind) as you'll have had to wait for the receipting delays, have to go through fingerprint appointment and then interview appointment. A lot of time and money wasted.

I don't want to scare you, and I hope everything works well for you, but I doubt anyone one of us can give you a 100% guarantee that you'll be fine.

All you can do is wait it out and hope that if they reject it, they'll do it fast and without cashing your check. Or that they'll accept it, of course.
