Co. asked for a copy of approval stamp in PP and provided a copy.
now what next?do we need to change/fill any forms (I9?).Employer is not hinting any thing. It is whose responsibilty? any ideas.pl.

The I-9 needs to be changed to reflect your extended eligibility - from the date of expiration of EAD to the date of I-551 stamp. Now, the I-551 stamp is only good for 1 year, so eventually you are going to have to show the plastic card which is good for 10 years. My advice is, if feasible, to wait until you get the plastic card, and then contact your HR and let them know. You probably won't have to fill out a new I-9, but they will need a copy of your plastic card.

Once you are a PR, you are one forever. The fact that your evidence of permanent residency may expire does not change the fact that your PR status never expires. If you get your stamp and fill out a new I-9 and then remain a PR for the next 50 years (and stay at that job for the next 50 days) you will never need to fill out a new I-9.

Just my question is--Employer is not hinting/prompting to fill any I-9 or
any thing.
Is it in our best interest we need to fill I-9 and give it employer/tell them
to consider this I-9 from now onwards and whose obligation it is to consider I-9-?If employer don't ask or inclined to fill I-9 what is our right/resopnsibility?

What is the mandate ,if any?

Why not tust offer to do it. It is not a big deal and basically
effortless. Just take your GC to human resources to
fill a I-9

Hmm, this doesn't quite compute. If it means what I think it means, it is not correct. Whenever anybody (US citizen, PR, whatever) gets a new job, the person has to fill out a new I-9.

My post should have said 50 years, not 50 days. Basically, if you stay at a job as a PR for 50 years and your job never changes and you never become a citizen, no updated I-9 is ever required, even though you may get a number of different physical cards.
