Yes and what I have gleaned from google and the forums is that it seems that the fingerprints are the basis for the background check.
Which then leads to my confusion since in one of the questions just recently posted on the board, it was asked whether it was possible for the background check to not be done by the time of the interview date. One of the responses was that yes, it was possible. And I was under the impression that the FBI forwards the results of the FP within 24-48hrs. So if it takes that long to do a background check, I was wondering if it entails anything else other than the fingerprints.
Anyone care to answer?
