01/26/2005: Good News for Visa Movement

AILA has reported the DOS advised AILA that "thanks? to" the decrease in demand for EB visa numbers from USCIS I-485 cases and 245(i) labor cases still being held in the Department of Labor, the visa number would progress forward as follows:
Worldwide EB-1 and EB-2: There will be no cut-off date for the these categories.
Worldwide EB-3: Unlike the DOS previous prediction that the large number of 245(i) filings would be filed during March and April 2001 and it would result in a surge of EB-3 number demand and would limit movement of the cut-off date, 245(i) cases still remain at the DOL and therefore there will be movement in EB-3 visa numbers.
India EB-1 and EB-2: It will continue a rapid movement for the next several months.
India EB-3: It will move ahead but may become limited down the road.
China EB-1 and EB-2: It will continue a rapid movement for the next several months.
China EB-3: It will stay at the Worldwide date.
What a good news!

Looks like but not tht much

Hello friends,

I think Service center people were trained for short jumps only, not for long jump, because they dont know how jump, this is the first they are trying to jump, if they jumps 2003 it means these people are totally qualified for Beging Olympics 2008.

thank you atllab

Thank you atllab...I hope that will be the case too.

By the way, I saw a good number of posts today on new delhi embassy
dates, where I think it shows eb3 india around april 2001. Thats interesting.

May be, those dates are for consular processing cases.

Keep posting :)

newyorkuser,

Finally, USCIS understood that there are not many 2000 Eb3 cases of India available and moved date to Jan 2001...

??!?

"Finally, USCIS understood that there are not many 2000 Eb3 cases of India available and moved date to Jan 2001..."

AT THE SAME TIME THERE WERE TONS OF APPROVALS LAST YEAR WHOSE PD FROM OCT 2001 TO JUNE 2002. SO DO YOU THINK IT WILL MOVE TO 2002 SOON?????

Yes it is likely ...

skp19722003,

I believe that India EB3 should be in 2002 atleast. Lets hope that the DOs figures this out in the next few months and moves India EB3 to where it really belongs. Please read the following thread for an indept look at this situation.

skp19722003,

I know EB3 India (even other countries too) should have been in the year 2003 at this time...

I said that statement becasue I believe in "Something is better than nothing"..What we could have done if they moved date July 2000 instead of Jan 2001...Nothing..Waited one more month to see priority dates to go in 2001...Now, atleast we know that in next mnoth bulletine they will move PDS to atleast APril or May 2001 ...(I would still say that they should move all countries Eb3 date to 2002 and should check requirements of VISA Numbers..
