What does this status for AP means???

My AP status says the following.

"This case has been approved. On August 20, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, blah blah...".

Does this mean
1) AP is just approved OR
2) AP is Approved and the AP's are in the mail? Please shed some light........

My question is, the APs are mailed only when we see the status as "based on the approval we prepared the documents". or something like that?

I am very anxious to get the AP to make my trip. I booked the tickets already after seeing the approval status on Aug 20th....

My Wife's AP approved on 24th August, and it says that we have mailed the papers. I have booked her ticket for Sept 1, will I get by that time and whats the normal time period.

Since her AP was approved while she was here, you need not worry. Even if you dont get the AP before Sept 1, she's fine to travel. You can mail her the approved AP , once you get it after Sept 1.
Anyway...i wish you would get the AP in mail before Sept 1.
