What does this RFE Mean..

My wife got an RFE for AP and the sentence in the RFE letter is as below: So any thoughts what does it mean...

"Please submit 797 receipt notice to show u have filed Form I-485 prior to filing this I-131. "


DO ANY BODY HAVE AN IDEA WHAT IS 797 RECEIPT AND AND WHAT IS FORM I-484. we filled for AP, EAD an AOS on Dec 11/02.

In this case, I-797 for I-485 is a receipt notice that demonstrates you applied for adjustment of status (AOS) at TSC, it shows the application (I-485) receipt date (RD, on this date your application I-485 for AOS was received at TSC), notice date (RD, on this date your I-797 receipt notice was printed/generated at TSC). If you did not get a courtesy copy from TSC (I did not get one), your attorney would get that (if an attorney filed for you). Hope this helps. Wish you all the best!

Thanks for the reply. I didnot get one but my attorney got one. so i can ask my attorney to reply to RFE.
