What does this message mean?

It typically means that UCSIS is awaiting results from FBI regarding your finger print review. Name Check is different from FP review.
It means your FP details were received and case is resumed. They never say anything about namecheck in the status message.

Name check is a separate process (in fact several security check procedures that may be finished soon, but also may take months and months). The next message you'll get is that your FP results are received at USCIS and the process on your case will resume. No way to know or estimate how long it will take between the time FP is done and the AOS adjudication.

My FP done on 3/26/04 and USCIS received review on 5/6/04 as per their following message
On May 6, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

I got the following message from FBI, saying that USCIS inquired on 6/3/04 and FBI SENT BACK ON 6/3/04.
A review of the FBI's Name Check Program database concerning XXXXXX XXXX revealed a request was received from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on June 3, 2003, and was finalized also on June 3, 2003. The results were forwarded to USCIS.

Hi Marais,
What does message from FBI mean? Do you have to contact FBI seperately for this message or is it a part of the USCIS web update. If we have to contact FBI, would you be able to give the details about it. My USCIS web update has the same message about finger print review being recieved and process has started. My FP1 was done on 09/30 and USCIS go it on 10/6.
