what does this message mean

Hi all

I had my I 485 approved and passport stamped. I got this message from the online status notification

Case Status
Receipt Number: wac02236xxxxx

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On August 19, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued


I still have not received my plastic card in the mail. Can you gurus let me know what the above message means? I am tired of INS's cryptic messages.

A good one, isn't it? I got that message a few weeks ago. It meant that they had mailed me an FP notice. I poked around this forum, and found others who had gotten the same message, and then received either an FP notice or a RFE. Go figure. I imagine that in your case it could only be the plastic card. Go figure....
