On December 29, 2003, the fingerprints for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending review.

Does this mean they have received the FP report from FBI or they have sent FP to FBI?

Interestingly, this is the message for my wife's case. My case status remains unchanged, even though we both got finger printed on the same day!

Generally how long does it take from this stage? My RD is Nov 02.

This means FP were taken and results are pending and yet to be received by INS from FBI. This is a common procedure and in no way speeds up your file processing. Your file get processed based on 485 RD priority.

Your I-485 will not proceed unless and until the INS receives the feedback from the FBI with regards to your fingerprints. Infact the INS refuses even to entertain the case awaiting FBI approval.

Your online status message should change to as follows.

On Feb 9 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.
