My online status has the followign message :

"""On July 9, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."""

Can someone tell me what does this mean ?

Question?

After your FP in Nov 02, did you ever find out whether your FP was recieved by BCIS (then INS)?

My assumption is your FP would have been recieved by BCIS in July 2003 from FBI...,

I wait till tomorrow morning so as see comments from experts like Porkchop, Ghee, Paul and many others.......

Hi peace_of_mind,

BCIS has never updated the online status about my FP untill yesterday. I called FBI a week after my FP in 11/02 and they said that my FP results were sent back to BCIS the same day i.e. 11/02/02. Mine was electronic FP.

I never called BCIS for anything except for change of address. I called the national customer service number in the first week of Aug/03 to update my address change.

Regards,

Sachdev, can you please forward the phone number of BCIS and national customer service for the change of address. When should I call them to confirm my address change 2weeks or 3weeks after sending them AR11?????

Many Thanks

andy2000,

This is the number I called for change of address:

1-(800) 375-5283

I was fingerprinted twice but the online status was never updated. I called up the FBI two weeks after the fingerprinting and was told that the result had already been sent to the INS. So, I think the online status system is not reliable.

Yes, the online info is definitely not reliable as far as FPs are concerned these days.

I had a 2nd FP on 17th July. FBI acknowledged that they sent the results to BCIS the same day, but my status is not updated.

It just means that the powers that be have finally deigned to acknowledge that you have been fingerprinted. You should be thrilled; so what if it took them 9 months to take this giant leap.

Lucky you :p

I think the address change triggers the change in online status.

My case is really similar to yours. FP is done in 12/04/02. Online status has never been changed. I recently received a confirmation letter from BCIS about my address change. So I checked my status online to see if there's a change and found the same message.

After all it doesn't mean much, I guess.
