I just received a letter from TSC in response to my service request.

"We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action fromus within 6 months of this letter, please call....."

On my last infopass visit, the IO told me my name check is pending. But this message did not mention NC.

Does anybody know what "additional review" mean?
Has anybody received similar letter? Can you share your experience?

I recieve exactly the same letter for my wife yesterday. Her NC cleared long ago not mine. Did you have any LUDS after FP2?

I dont think USCIS reveals exactly what they are doing in the 'process'

They might put words in generic way to mean that some thing going on or waiting some thing to happen
 
That is the standard template

Don't worry they are lazy sorry ass and have the same template for every SR. I got the same letter but was told on Friday that my wife has visa number and I don't techincally means we are screwed
 
I got same letter , this is in reponse to SR we opened on june 5th 2007.
It does not revil anything other than that they have your case in USCIS.Atleast they have a file :)
