What Does This Mean?

Hello All;

My case:

EAC-02-162-XXXXX
RD 04/01/2002
ND 04/15/2002
1st FP: 01/06/2002
2nd FP: 11/23/2003

I filed my case under NIW category and was pending at VCS. Three weeks ago I moved to Florida (under TSC). Today the message has changed to:

“On February 5, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in U.S. DHS, ORLANDO, FL for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in U.S. DHS, ORLANDO, FL will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.”

I have two questions and will appreciate any help.

1. Is this an automatic transfer or work has begun on my case?
2. Should I expect delay due to the transfer?

Many Thanks.

I suppose BCIS transferred your case to the local office as you moved to
Florida. Did you send AR-11 and noticed to the BCIS for your
moving? Is it AC21 case?

polygon7,

yes. this will delay your case. because it takes a month for local office to receive your case. and takes at least a few months for local office to pick up your file. Look the bright side, your case actually transfered earlier. Many of us got transfered at the last minuts when the TCS processing time reached our RD. The waiting game continues.

Does anyone have their case transferred to St Louis Local Office

I am Ramprakash living in st louis suburb. I sent an AR-11 last week and my lawyer sent a notice about my change of address to TSC. My RD is 10/04/01 and ND is 11/08/01 FP date is 02/20/03. After the address change I am seeing from status online that my case has been transferred to St Louis local office. When I went to st louis office they told me that the case has not been transferred and is still in TSC. Does anyone know anything about what is going on and has someone had their case transferred to St Louis office. In such a transfer will a local office handle the case till the end. Will the local office be conducting an interview or just approving it. If its an interview what kind of things are they expecting from us.Also does anyone know about St Louis office's processing times.

Thanks
Ram
