What does the status mean ?

I-485 ND 4-19-05

Last week, I called to the Califorenia Service Center because my wife has not received a FP notice yet.

The agent said my wife' case is unique because they ordered FP and are waiting the biometrices for the next processing but any notice has been mailed out.

So she promised me she would call me back today. Today, the status has been changed as the following but she has not called me yet.

"On October 31, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Please let me know what is the meaning of "our response" in the status...

It's simply their way of documenting that you called. I called them once and got the same message.
