This is the legal advice that I found for getting married and adding my wife to pending I-485:.
"Your future spouse is in the states, on some kind of visa (H-1B, F-1, B- 2, etc.) and you have your adjustment filed and pending. You marry in the U.S. at the local county court and use that certificate to file a SECOND dependent adjustment and have it joined in the INS."
What does SECOND dependent mean? I don't have children, so why is it SECOND?
