What does 'Last Update Date' mean?

My LUD is 10 days after my application for N400 which has been 11 months. What does this mean? Does it mean that USCIS hasn't been working on the case since then?

Do not worry about the LUD , USCIS does not update its system. The best way to find out if anything has happened with your petition is to schedule an INFOPASS.

that date is a complete joke.
Mine says Last Update 11/30/07. Did the FP since and should get the IL in the next 4 weeks or so.

I thought they wanted to upgrade the IT infrastructure.....

My online status says Nov 03 2006 and that is when I had my NOA recieved. Nothing updated since and I got recently my Oath Notice and much happened between it. Never even got an email, haha
