Hi everyone, next bulletin will bring the first DV-2009 news, sure everybody waiting it, and sure everybody checking and revising his/her submitted DS-230 & DS-122 form for expected mistakes, in order to be corrected soon before his/her number to be current, for me I found some of those according to what I read from other winners posts, if you want to give me suggestion or information, consider me as the principal applicant, to avoid any misunderstanding since I have accompanying (Spouse & Children):

1- Form DS-230 Part II, Question 29, Name & Address of Petitioner, I have put in each of my accompanying form his or her name instead of mine as the principal applicant, of course all of us we have the same address.

2- Form DS-230 Part I, Question 23, Course of Study, I mentioned the number of years needed to complete each study stage (like 6 years Elementary, 3 Years Intermediate….etc) instead of mentioning the field of study itself, which I think it’s correct.

3- Form DS-230 Part I, Signature of Applicant, of course I signed mine & my spouse signed her form, but for the kids (2 Years Old & 3 Month Old) I put N/A, which I heard it should be typing of their name.

4- In general, in case each of these mistakes, not corrected and the applicant carried them out till his interview date, does it affect to his successful interview chances?

First I hope that my things described without any complications, second in case it’s clear & you have experience yourself or from somebody pass his/her interview with similar problem, what your suggestion as the right action on each of the above mentioned mistake.

For question 1 - I made the same mistake and when i found out , i sent an email to KCC informing them of the mistake. Also for question 2 & 3.

On the email and explain all this and write the corrections. KCC will inform you that your case file will be updated. Atleast a copy of the mail can be used on interview day, incase the subject comes up.

All the mails i sent to KCC were noted and the subjects never came up on the interview day.
I wish you good luck
