I had posted here before that i was laid off, ok, now my ex boss called me to say that he wants to try a new kind of businness, we wants to sell machines from the USA to my COP, not only that, he wants me to be the guy who would be overlooking everything, he said he trust me and i speak the language. I would be required to travel to my COP many times and on the beginning i would stay there for a month or more.
I dont know what to do, i dont have a job right now, and i have to find a job, in another hand i dont want to have nothing to do with my COP, and also i am happy here, i feel safe here in U.S. and i dont want to risk that.
I pretty much think that i will decline his offer, but i would like to hear first what are your opinions on this.
Little backgound info on my case.
Received GC dec. 2007 - backdated dec. 2006
Case was not against COP goverment.
Thank you guys!

The bottom line is: You don't make sense, that would be a wrong move. You have demonstrated a well-founded fear of persecution, meaning that you will face persecution if returned to your homeland, that's why you are approved for asylum, NOW YOU OBTAIN YOU GREEN CARD; you want to conduct business in there. Doesn't sound idiotic, I don't care what kind of business, what your claim was, but you should not resettle in your country of persecution, regardless of your origin claim of asylum. Too risky, too obvious...
It doesn't add up wright, unless you asylum case was A total fake, but it is all on your own risk.

Anyway good luck

People in a present economy kill themselves and their family (including kids) so honestly him wanting to go back and forward to his COP in order to have some sort of income does NOT sound idiotic... risky but not idiotic...

The bottom line is that everyone has knowledge on the topic discussed from USCIS opinion or establish custom and the possible COMPLICATION and consequences , so conducting business in COP, after being approved for asylum is more likely for the uscis to hold a statement of opinion or a Principe dictating by that his claim was totally false. Making such mistake is grossly idiotic and stupid. Why is he asking other forum members opinion?, because the moral pressure, to ensure compliance or conformity to persecution as far COP's concern. Making such violation of the asylum process, is idiotic. Respect me by respecting my point of debate. Committing an intentional mistake, an error that could have been avoided, a risk on purpose that could create problems for down in the route of immigration is IDIOTIC, too risky to be idiotic, if intentionally done.

I rest my case...

First of all, no ,my asylum case was not fake, its funny how people jump on conclusions and they dont even know your situation... Second, when you dont have a job in an economy like this you dont say no ( at least right the way ) on people's face when they offer you a job, only i know what i am going thru after i lost my job. I pretty much knew since the begining that i was not going to take this job offer because of many reasons that i know really well why, but i wanted to leave this kind on the air because i wanted to hear the opinions of the member of this forum, i know the is alot of knowlegedable people on this forum such as Thankful, Windywd, Want and others... I think we all can learn when we hear different opinons and ideas, so please continue we your inputs, just try not to judge if you can, i visit this site almost every day i have learned so much with you guys.
Thank you.

There is nothing wrong in your line of questions and people need to undertstand that some people get asylum for different reasons not just general fear of country government.. I will advise you dont take the job since you are under asylum and wait until you get a green card.. I was under your shoe before but mine was i wanted to take a job in new york consulate but i end up not taking it too,,, dont worry something better will come up for you.

My first reaction is do not take this job. If you are seriously considering this offer you should consult with a competent lawyer. The eventual answer will depend on the details of the asylum application and country conditions.

I am sorry that you are not employed now. I wish you much success in obtaining a new position in the U.S.

Find another job. Dont do what your friends tell u about "some business". Yes economy is bad but it doesnt mean you jump off a roof if someone tells you.

Look at this way: your employment is dependent on whether you are authorized to work in U.S. Therefore, do not take a job which will jeopardize your immigration status in U.S.

On the other hand, ask yourself whether your return to COP will lead the Government to easily conclude that you did not meet the definition of refugee from the time of asylee approval to the time of AOS. If so, do not go.

Hey guys, thank you all for your answers, i am not taking this job, i called my former boss and told him i am not accepting his offer. I am pretty sure God is going to show me a good job ,i just need to do my part, that is keep looking...
