Hi

I am in the US and have scheduled a H1B visa interview at the Mumbai consulate on Sept 30th 2004. The Visa-services.com people sent me an email saying that I should send them the application packet through Blue-Dart courier service only. I will be visiting India for the visa interview and would like to know the experience of others who have sent their applications directly from the US. Thanks

regards

I would call the number that shows up on the interim appointment confirmation. Please post your experience after you have your VISA stamped. I will be going in November. I noticed that on visa-services they have dates available only for a week currently the dates available are Oct 13 2004 - Oct 21 2004. What if I want an appointment for 2nd week of November 2004? Do I have to keep looking at the site to see when that week is available for scheduling? tts-visas has the entire calender for next 6 months showing availability. Bad S/W Design on visa-services part.

I called up visa services in Mumbai yesterday. There were very clear about using BluDart ONLY as the means of sending them visa application and other documents. I also asked them the question "What if I am not arriving India 30 before my appt date?" to which they replied by saying you HAVE to send the docs to your relative/friend here who should then contact BlueDart.

Hope this helps.

Wow -- that's really weird ...

No idea what's the kickback BlueDart is giving for getting "exclusive" rights :D
