Lawyers are professionals, we "hire" to accomplish things. They are supposed to live upto that aim so that they can improve their reputation. I am no lawyer. I am also a 485 applicant like you. But I trust them in what they do.
If you dont trust him/her you should go to him/her
They can really mess up lots of things. You should go to one whom you trust. My experience is very limited, but my lawer is a real professional and I trust him, he never messed up my things so far.
