What are ppl with approved labor and 140 but retrogressed PD doing ?

I had question to all those ppl who could be in the same boat as I am, with approved Labor and 140 but un-able to apply for 485 - what are they doing ? Is it sitting duck position for all ? Is there anything that we can do ?

Pls share your thought's ?
 
I don't know about others but I spend my days checking the processing dates everyday, praying for some relief and hoping that suddenly someday out of the blue - the priority date jumps by a few years and/or retrogression ends so that all of us in this soup are relieved. :D

Apart from that there is nothing much that I can do besides roam the threads of this wonderful forum...

Am in Same boat.
Perm labour EB2 - PD Aug 15, 2005.
i140 approval Jul 17, 2006.

So I hang on to same position as many others. So tell me what can we do. One thing that I can think of is prepare a tracker with number of people, in our position and see how each of them goes. That way we can see if there is yearly progress or not.

Am also open for any other ideas. So since that we cannot apply for 485, should we press to get EAD issued atleast? Or holding an EAD would lead to complexity?? Your thoughts are welcome.

I dont think regulation will be for us ppl for EAD etc.., either there will be some bill passed end of the year which would decide the fate some way or other

Can we discuss on the way's to extend H1 by 3 yrs, is this H1 tranferable to another company ??

I want to discuss something practical with current immigration conditions. Any thought's ?

No issue about h1b extension

I am not much concerned about getting my h1b extended because its been only 20 months on my first term of h1. and so I think I can easily get the extension. My other concern is can I change Jobs after getting this i140 approved? Considering I leave in good terms with current employer with statement that I will join them back after I get GC, what are the other things I must think of? Any insight would help me.

I think that is matter of trust b'ween 2 ppl do u think ur employer will give u that in writing I doubt it - I think work in US is "at will" - but who knows they might give u such letter - it all depends on ur rappo with ur employer.

Any one extended H1 into 7 yr with approved labor and 140 ?

I'm wondering the same stuff. Since I can't file 140 & 485 concurrently, can I still l move to another firm if I have submitted the 485 (6 months pending)?
