Registered Users (C)
Sorry for such stuipd questions.

Where can I find a list these terms and procedures? I'm filing I-140 EB3 now. Want to keep track of the progress so that I won't fall into the same trap that I had been struggling for the past 4 years.

Thanks.

Terminology

tyzh,

PD (Priority Date) is usually the date when your application was received at the State Labor Department. It could be later if there is a backlog for your category / country.

RD (Receive Date) is the date when the I-140 was received in the mailroom at your service Center (Vermont INS).

ND (Notice Date) is the date when the case was registered at the INS Service Center (currently no backlog), so the date will be similar to RD.

AD (Approval Date) is the Date your I-140 is approved by the INS Service Center.

Good luck.

Thanks

Thanks. Just told by lawyer to hold on I-140 in order to prepare I-485. Seems promising this time.

Also...

EAD - Employment Authorization Document (filed during I-485
stage)

FP - Finger Print (taken during I-485 stage)

RFE - Request For Evidence (could apply to all cases, including
I-140, I-485, EAD, H-1,... and so on...)
