Hi,
I am a new member to this forum although I have visited this forum several times in the past. To give you a brief background, I already applied once in EB1-EA category and it was denied (a year ago) stating, "I am inching towards it but not yet there." I used premium processing at NSC. The officer who denied my application said that my publications are fine, review of others work is ok, the rest are not ok as I am a mere post-doc (that's what the officer said) at that time at University of Washington, Seattle. In fact, I used the services of an immigration attorney, however, the attorney did not do a good job. In the mean time, I have got some more credentials which makes me confident to try it again.
Currently, I work for a company which sponsored my O1 visa. My credentials are as follows:
-Ph.D in Materials Engineering from India
-One and Half years post-doc on Humboldt fellowship in Germany
-5 years post-doc at University of washington, Seattle
-For the past one year, Senior Engineer with a company in PA
1. 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and 20 conference presentations
2. Two book chapters
3. Regular Reviewer for three top class journals in our field (based on their citation)
4. Recently appointed to the editorial board of an engineering journal
5. more than 100 Citations
6. Two Indian Patents and one US provisional patent
7. A visiting lecturer award from a professional society, Humboldt fellowship from Humboldt foundation
8. I can get about 10 reference letters (5 independent and 5 with whom I worked or collaborated)
I would greatly appreciate any help with regard to my chances of succeeding in EB1-EA category, from the members of this forum based on your experience.
Thank you.
