What are fixed expenses for employer of H1b employee who is on bench?

When the H1B visa employee is on bench what are the expenses incurred by the employer for H1B visa employee ?

I am on H1B visa. I have My Employer 's Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance for me & my Family(I pay $120 for my Share of Insurance per month). My Project is getting over this week. Due to current conditions and Year End, I don't
think that I will get a Project till Next year Feb. During this period I will have my Employer's Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance.
If the Employer does not pay me my Salary during the Bench Period, what are the other expences for my employer during this period? The Employer will be paying my share of Medical Insurance apart from his share of Medical Insurance for me.

buddy, talk to your employer.if they cant run normal payroll and pay taxes during bench period, you are out of status and it will impact your future GC.If there is a way change status to H4.

I have some more questions:

My Employer told me that they will not be paying for Bench Period. Also, they said that they have to spend $900 Per month on me during my Bench Period. The Employer is doing my Greencard. My I140 is recently approved abt a month back. I am from India and I can apply for I485 when the date becomes current( Year 2002 dates are current now). So it is 4 -5 years wait for me to get my I485 and then EAD.

I do not think that I am in a position to demand Bench Salary from my Employer, as they may create problems for my Greencard Process. If you have a different opinion on this can you please give your views.

I have been paying $120 PM as my contrubition for my Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance thro' Employer's Group Insurance Plan.
(I think they will not be asking for my contribution of Medical Insurance(for my collegue on Bench, they did not ask for his contribution of medical Insurance during his Bench Period).

My original question was: How much an Employer spends on an Employee with medical coverage for family during the Bench Period?

Depends upon your employer what his fixed expenses are. But it is irrelevant.
I understand your position that you cannot demand to get paid without jeopardizing your GC process. Just ask them if they are paying your insurance completely, so that at least your policy remains active. If they claim that they cannot pay the premium, search for a lower coverage policy that you can pay yourself.
In the meanwhile search for another employer who can pay you.
 
The fact he is not being paid does jeopardize his GC when all of his history will be reviewed.

Employer X files H1 for candidate Y.
Y is in US on employer X H1 visa.
Employer X is not paying Y on H1 and that means employer X is violating H1 rule/regulation. Bench is NOT allowed on H1.
GC is for future permanent job. If employer X filed GC for Y and is not paying minimum wages/LCA wages on H1 status it seems that GC filing by X for Y is fraud. When X cant pay on H1 status how they will pay after GC??
