Okay i filed my I751 and have since done Biometrics and am waiting the new green card,however am i able to legally work on an expired Green Card?.And what is my status based on having an expired green card and waiting.

you are still an LPR, your status has been extended until your petition is adjudicated.

If you going to travel be sure you have your extension letter with you or get a stamp through an INFOPASS.
