Hello,
I applied as a USC a petition to bring my mother here, I filled out and mailed the I-130. Now what after that, mentioning that she is not in the States.
What would be the next step?

thanks

Here is a little more educated answer than Dr Lha's.
After a month or so you'll receive the notice of receipt of your I-130. Then...depending on the processing times and where you filed...you'll get the aproval/disaproval notice from USCIS (6-9mo). Till then, you don't need to file anything unless they tell you so.
Then they'll send the aproved papers to NVC. Who will make you pay for the Affidavit of support, application fees, etc. Finally your mom wil be interviewed in her country and given the initial "CG stamp".
