Hi! I applied for my parents GC in Dec 03 and they have the interview scheduled next week.

What happens after the interview?

Is there any other procedural things left after the green card interview?

How long does it take to get the approval and the green card?

Can they travel out of country after the interview?
Or do they still need advance parole if they want to go back to India for few months?

May I know how long did it take for INS to cash your check after you submitted the application?

Sorry Annet, saw your question only today.
INS is required to process appl within 30 days.
If all the paperwork is order, check will be
cashed in 30-45 days. The notice will come
within 45-60days.

We applied in Dec 03, the GC interview was on
Apr 15. Got the actual green card yest.
