What after Finger Printing

I called the FBI number today to find out the status of my finger printing and they said "Received, Verified and Sent them back to INS" .. Hopefully this means that everything is OK.

Does anyone know what the next steps at INS will be?

My husband's case is concurrent filing.. Also I noticed in some posts with PD's in 2001, that FP was done after they received their EADs. Has this process changed now to where FP is done before EAD?

There is nothing we can do after FP except a LOOOOOOOOONG WAIT... FP has nothing to do with EAD and viceversa.

how long did it take

When did u give FP and when did u check the status? want to know how long FBI took for ur case
 
Let's see.....after finger printing.......wait for 1 to 1 1/2 yrs and hope you get approved. During that waiting time you will no doubt phone the INS number and check their web site almost daily to see if you've been approved. Will probably phone an IIO at least a 1/2 dozen times and be lied to or just given their standard answer. Your will get your hopes raised many many times only to have those hopes smashed time and again because of the lack of process and procedure out of INS. All the time waiting you read about deterioting economy and new anti-immigration legislation and wonder how it will affect your application. You will have to stay at your current employer or risk all the potential pitfalls of attempting a change of employment after 180 days and hope your job title and salary match your LC. Then when you finally get close they will give you an RFE or an Interview or maybe both. Yes I would say now you are entering the "fun" phase.

Good Luck, keep a stiff upper lip and the best thing you can do is not to think about your application for 6-8 months because it's a complete waste of your time to bother looking into it.
 
ins sent the notice on 17th oct, received it on 21st with 11/15 appointment at oakland ASC. Got the FP's done at San Francisco ASC on 23rd and called FBI on 24th.

What did you tell them as reason for coming in early for the FP?

Do they allow going in early for FP?

Even i have mine scheduled for Nov 30th but i was thinking of going in early. Any help would be appreciated.
