What affect does vacation have on CP processing?

Can anyone tell how long can a person be put on vacation(w/o payroll a.k.a. w/o project) by the company and does it have any adverse effect on any processing be it 140,485,CP etc.?

Will appreciate any feedback on this.

Hi,

I am in that situation right now !

I work in California.

My company is giving me the option of transferring to India indefinitely until work becomes available here. I can also take LOA (Leave of absence, with no pay) if I wish.

If I take LOA will it affect my GC interview in the future? Will they refuse to issue me a GC after being on LOA for 2-4 months?

In February of this year my I-140 was approved, a few weeks ago my I485 ( I think thats the name of it) was submitted, I chose consular processing so my GC interview will be in London (my home country).

I heard that the I485 should take 2-4 months since I have a British passport, is this correct ?
