I have been with the same company for the last 3 yrs, but changed location after 2yrs. My first I-797 is from April 1st 2001 to March 31st 2004.
1. I have an three I-94s,
1. From the port of entry, when I entered the US on my H1-B that is valid from April 1st 2001 to March 31st 2004.
2.From the H1-B amendment approval notice (I-797) that I received due to the change of location from Raleigh, NC to Hillsboro, OR.
3.From the latest H1-B Extension approval notice that I received today.
I intend to get my H1-B visa stamp from the US consulate in Vancouver, Canada on Dec 5th 2003. Which of the above three I-94s should I turn in at the Port of exit?
2. Since my current I-797 does not expire until March 31 2004, why does the approval notice show valid dates of June 6th 2003 to May 31st 2004.
3. Since a H1-B can be valid for a total of 6 years, can we get another extension for 1 year (from June 31st 2006 to March 31st 2007) if need be?
4. Is it ok to have this overlap of 2 approval notices from June 6th 2003 to March 31st 2004?

Thanks

----- So you have three I-94 one got when enter with H1b visa stamp at POE second you got when H1b was amended third you got with latest H1B extension. Your latest I-94 that came with H1b extension approval detach it from the approval and attach it in your passport
I intend to get my H1-B visa stamp from the US consulate in Vancouver, Canada on Dec 5th 2003. Which of the above three I-94s should I turn in at the Port of exit?
----- All the three I-94 (use PIN to attach all the I-94 and surrender, but Canada immigration will NOT ask you to surrender the I-94 and if trip is less than 30 days to Canada or Mexico you don’t need to surrender the I-94)
2. Since my current I-797 does not expire until March 31 2004, why does the approval notice show valid dates of June 6th 2003 to May 31st 2004.
----- I hope your lawyer wrote these dates on form I-129 ask him, he should have asked H1 extension from date XX to YYY. or if your H1B is H1 to H1 transfer your new lawyer wrote it on I-129 check with lawyer.
3. Since a H1-B can be valid for a total of 6 years, can we get another extension for 1 year (from June 31st 2006 to March 31st 2007) if need be?
---- One can get 7th year H1 extension if your LC was field by any employer and pending more than 365 days (you need evidence that LC was filed 365 days back) Or I-140 pending or I-485 pending
4. Is it ok to have this overlap of 2 approval notices from June 6th 2003 to March 31st 2004?
--- Your latest H1b is valid till March 2004 and that is the latest approval notice from BCIS and latest I-94 govern your status in US.
