I dont understand these statistics how can they get 9000 applications in a single day ie 26 may and finish the H1b quota for 2007.
On 25th they say that they have received 49,0000 applications. But next day they cut off the quota. Its very immoral and misguiding all the applicants.

We need an explaination from immigration department as to on what basis they came across such a conclusion to cut off on 26 th may 2006.

hey you are wrong it was more than 9000 it can be any more than 20000
because on 26 thay are going to select randomly who ever is lucky they get selected

I dont think so what u r thinking is logical. For the entire week the visa petitions were filed @ max 2000 per day. And as per you it jumped 10 times in a single day.

thats whAT i am saying either they misscalulated before or there is something going on to give you an idea there 49078 on 25 th and uscis declared the cap around 64,000.those which reached on 26 are going to be selected randomly that mean more than 15000 to be precised where filled in 1 day if they take all the petition filed on 26 th that is not the case there can be anywhere around 20000 which even i cannot understand can anyone collect and stamp so maNY application on one day

Can we sue USCIS

They apparently mis calculated the numbers. The numbers reported on the website were not acurate. Is there a possibility of lawsuit here?

As per the information I got the problem was that INS provided in-accurate figures for 25th May 2006.The reason being that the Vermont Center was processing very slow with bulk of applications coming in there not adding to the numbers provided on 25th May 2006.The INS realized this vermont error at a later stage and cutoff the applications received to only until 26th May.

Some of them who believed with the pace of earlier numbers were taken by surprise when the cap closed abruptly on 26th May 2006.

I am not sure. But I heard that some well known companies book h1b by numbers. They reserve certain number of H1b's without specifically mentioning the induviduals.

In some cases the same employee could have applied using more than one petition via different employers. This is alllowed by INS.

There will be rejection of approvals in some cases.

There will be Visa denials for some cases.

There will be visa granted but not travelled in some cases.

In all out of 65000 h1b seekers I foresee only 25000 travelling from their home country to the US of A for employment.

The above statics are approximately true.

Overall I dont like the idea of employers waiting for the employee for about a year in advance.

Mr Bill Gates CEO once said "America is preventing smart people from coming to its territory" .
H1b cap should be removed and visas should be available whenever anyone wishes to have. America is becoming more undemocratic in this matter.America is a large country and can hold about 10 times the present population.
