Went out of US after applying AP renewal

Hi,
My AP and EAD is valid till 31-Aug-2005. I have applied of renewal on 01-Jun-2005 and is still PENDING. After applying I went to UK on the valid AP and reentered to US on 01-Jul-2005 without any problem.

Did I do any mistake??
I hear that when AP is pending, one should not leave the US. Will I have any problem??
If so what is the solution??

You are fine. You returned before the other AP expired. Thats exactly what you are supposed to do.

I read some where that one should not leave the country when AP IS PENDING??
