Hey Sidman –
I am wondering if you filled your 1-485 though an attorney. My case is very old too. was filled in late 1996, got a court date for 03/1997 but was postponed . Another on 08/1998 and was postponed too.. Finally had a hearing on 02/ 2003 and was approved after waiting for 7yrs. In the approval letter, the judge wrote as if the case was approved on 03/15/1997 but was signed and dated 3/29/ 2003. I filed my I-485 with all the necessary paperwork on 02/2004 and on June 20th received FP notice for 0710/04. Now, since the cap has been removed, I intend to write a rebuttal. Does anyone have a case as old as mine? 9 years and no green card yet! It is a painful wait. very painful

hi peguin 12 ......i dident filled my i-485 through an attorney, i filled i-485 back on 02/2000 in my own , RD 02/23/2000, ND 02/29/2000. the final approval for asylum case was on 02/13/1999 after i applyed first time back on 01/01/1993.

hi ashly25.....i went for interview back on (12/09/2004) after i recevied a letter from the local office in las vegas on (11/27/2004) to show up for interview (green card -1485 as asylee), at the date of interview they let me do the oath and filled out the form 1-89 for the card prodction by having my one fingerprint and signture been taking with new photos too, and they start it to ask me samething in my 1485 application and if i still feel scared to go back home , after that the officer told me she going to send my case back to nebracka to get the final approval and new visa number too, so i wait it until 02/08/2005 to i approve my case, recevied welcome letter on 05/06/2005 after been issued 03/29/2005, they order my real card on 05/05/2005 and iam still watting for it to come in the mail.
